HOT DINNER MEAL CARRYOUTS
Hot dinner meal carry-outs are offered every 4th Sunday from 2-4pm, January thru November.
Community members may pick up no more than six (6) dinners! No photo I.D is necessary to receive food.
A free 10 month interactive and educational nutritional program providing food skills education to families and caregivers adults and children.
Monthly presentations and cooking demonstrations by professionals will be available for registered participants.
An optional bible study "Pathways 2 Wholeness" Faith & Whole Person health is also available for families to register.
A community resource and supply fair distribute back packs with various donated school supplies, toiletries, and beauty and health care items. Community resource vendors benefit families who may seek help with school supplies and social service needs.
Activities include free haircuts, food, drinks, music, various activities as well as clothing giveaways and miscellaneous items.
Children are one of our nation's most valuable resources. Studies reveal that growing up in poverty can have an adverse psychological impact on a child such as low self-esteem. The Christmas Toy Program provides toys and games to underprivileged children in the community.
Each year through toy donations, we distribute presents to families who need assistance. Our donations are taken for ages 1-12 years old and distributed the 3rd week of December.
"Wellness" involves being aware of ourselves as whole a people, including a sense of balance and contentment. It is the feeling that things are going well for us today and can continue to go well tomorrow.
It is the belief that we have meanful relationships and a sense of meaning and purpose. At Pathways Enrichment Center, we believe that helping people improve their personal wellness is critical.
Wellness incorporates all the eight (8) dimensions shown in the wellness wheel. Each dimension of wellness can affect our overall quality of life because it directly relates to how long we live and how well we live.
It's about more than food. PEC's food pantry provides much more than meals. With its volunteers and passion to end food insecurity in Lorain County, they bring hope to people in need and thus deliver social cohesion. The right food matters. It's about healthy food such as fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and low-fat dairy.
PEC Share Program is a community asset that provides food, grocery products and meal programs to families, children, seniors and individuals at risk for food insecurity. These services are provided directly to those in need.
